2# Prioritise that which really matters
When your day started today you had a set amount of resources - time and energy.
Every morning this happens. It is how we use these resources during the day that affects our ability to relax and feel balanced.
When we use our time and our energy only to do things that we think we must do and use the resources till they run out we are bound to have stress and difficulty relaxing.
When we know how to manage and prioritise our resources then only can we live a fulfilled and balanced life. This is called time and energy management - prioritising first.
Let me remind you of this story you heard me tell you in class:
What are your golf balls?
What are the things that really matter in your life?
When you look at your week, at your day, put in the golfballs first. Set time aside to prioritise your life and make sure your have time to do the things you love and that make you feel love. Do less things that make you stressed (watching TV, reading negative news, complaining) and more things that are sincerely important.
The resources we are given are limited - life goes by very fast.
When we take the time to enjoy what is really important to us we feel at peace as we go to sleep at night.
Take a moment to look at your calendar and ask yourself:
What can I do this week that really matters? What about today?
